About the Laboratory

The Geoscience-Lab is a research facility located at KIT Campus South and operated in cooperation with the KIT Institute for Applied Geosciences (KIT-AGW). Established in 2008, the lab focuses on geo-technologies, with a current emphasis on geothermal energy.

Its activities center on practical questions, innovative approaches, and applied research. Projects are typically market-oriented and follow a structured development path – from laboratory experiments to pilot-scale testing and full-scale field applications.
